Dark And Light 4/11 update has been released on Steam.

Balance Updates

Previous patches buffed character hp and melee attacks, which ended up indirectly nerfing ranged combat and spell casting. We want there to be more options for each Adventurer, so they can choose which combat style is right for them. In order to do this, we've adjusted the balance for ranged weapons and spells. 
  • Damage tweaks:Ranged weapons and staff heads will receive Adventurer’s Attack bonus.
    • Arrows, Throwing Knives, and Stone Spear will receive 25% bonus from character’s Attack.
    • Staff Heads will receive 50%.
    • Specially, lightning bolts will receive 75%, and also now has better range and attack speed.
  • Spell Adjustments: better debuff effect and longer duration
    • Fireball and Burning debuff:
    • Fireball I:
      • Flying speed reduced from 3600→1800.
      • Longer duration for Burning debuff: 180 hp loss over 18 seconds. 
      • Burning target also loses 150 heat resistance, for 18 seconds. 
      • Base damage is 30.
      Fireball II:
      • Flying speed reduced from 3600→1800.
      • Longer duration for Burning debuff: 360 hp loss over 18 seconds. 
      • Burning target also loses 300 heat resistance, for 18 seconds. 
      • Base damage is 60.
      Fireball III:
      • Flying speed reduced from 3600→1800.
      • Longer duration for Burning debuff: 720 hp loss over 18 seconds. 
      • Burning target also loses 600 heat resistance, for 18 seconds. 
      • Base damage is 120.
    • Frostbolt and Freezing debuff tweak:
    • Frostbolt I:
      • Longer duration for Freezing debuff, reduce movement speed by 60% for 15 seconds. 
      • Additional debuff for draining stamina, lose 60 stamina over 15 seconds. 
      • Freezing target also loses 150 cold resistance, for 15 seconds. 
      • Increased base damage from 20 to 45 .
    • Frostbolt II:
      • Longer duration for Freezing debuff, reduce movement speed by 75% for 15 seconds. 
      • Additional debuff for draining stamina, lose 120 stamina over 15 seconds.
      • Freezing target also loses 300 cold resistance, for 15 seconds. 
      • Increased base damage from 30 to 90 .
    • Frostbolt III:
      • Longer duration for Freezing debuff, reduce movement speed by 90% for 15 seconds. 
      • Additional debuff for draining stamina, lose 240 stamina over 15 seconds.
      • Freezing target also loses 600 cold resistance, for 15 seconds. 
      • Increased base damage from 60 to 180 .
    • Lightning Bolt and Electric Shock debuff tweak
    • Lightning Bolt I:
      • Add Electric Shock debuff, stunning only players and tamed creatures.
      • Debuff increase torpor by 60 over 6 seconds. 
      • Decreased base damage from 80 to 75.
    • Lightning Bolt II:
      • Add Electric Shock debuff, stunning only players and tamed creatures.
      • Debuff increase torpor by 120 over 6 seconds.
      • Decreased base damage from 160 to 150.
    • Lightning Bolt III:
      • Add Electric Shock debuff, stunning only players and tamed creatures. 
      • Debuff increase torpor by 240 over 6 seconds.
      • Decreased base damage from 320 to 300.
    • More tweaks on crafting material and creature drops for Ranged Weapons and Staff Heads are on the way.

    Creature Adjustments
    • Optimize carnivore creature spawning around cities, making the survival easier for Adventurers just starting their journey.
    • Deathstalker’s attack frequency and movement speed has been decreased.

    Game Updates
    • Optimize Wind Armor’s wing vfx
    • Fix an issue with the bridge by the Ironfast chapel that wouldn’t allow Adventurers to walk onto it.
